Paperself - Eyelash Art

On a rare shopping expedition with a dear friend to the dreaded mall, we stopped in at Sephora where I fell in deep adoration of Paperself's eyelashes. Not exactly eyelashes, but beautiful, paper cuttings designed by Ting yu Wang.

They had a variety of designs, some full and some partial, as pictured above. My favorite were the deer ones, (below), as I admittedly have a bit of a deer obsession. These could easily make a great addition to a Halloween costume, but special occasion wear is even better. Full lashes run around $19.95 and I believe, are reusable.

  1. Wow! Those are awesome! Have never worn false lashes...wouldn't these tickle?

  2. I've only worn fake eyelashes a few times, for shows, and you really don't notice them at all - most girls (where I live anyway) wear them every day.

The full size ones look like they could be a little awkward at first, but I'm sure you'd get used to them after an hour or so!

  3. They are amazing! I'd spend all the time looking in the mirror trying to see them. . .

  4. Wow, these are amazing and so is the website. Spent time looking through their paper installations, very creative. Last Halloween I was willing to lose my glasses and wear a pair of purple eyelashes with tiny black hearts attached to them. I couldn't see a thing at the party but sure had fun batting my eyelashes at everyone who walked by!
