Inspired by dressing a beloved family member for his burial, fashion designer Pia Interandi, whose work often incorporates death as a scientific and psychological concept, began to consider the role of fashion at the completion of earthly life and the advent of what may come next. She began by creating "Garments For The Grave."

Interlandi has created a wealth of exploratory works including garments that dissolve via moisture application, a series of body sculptures that provide a "grave to cradle model," and "The Pig Project" which delves into a hands on, film documented experiment to examine the "Natural" or "Eco Burial" movement.
